Every figure comes from a daily return database and from adjusted daily closes for your own holdings. Nothing is a hardcoded marketing number. Fill in what you know, upload a statement if you have one, and the PDF builds itself.
01 · Who this is for
Client and objective
This is what prints on the cover and in section 01. If you are an advisor preparing this for a client, put the client’s name here and yours in the preparer field.
Report format?
Two layouts from the same data. Most advisors polled preferred the executive summary; the full analysis adds the seven per-window performance charts.
02 · What they hold now
Current portfolio?
Drop in a brokerage statement, paste a holdings list, or type positions manually. Everything is parsed and priced in this browser tab — nothing is uploaded to Bull Run or to any third party.
Drop your statements here — all of them at oncePDF, CSV, TSV or plain text · one file per account is fine · or click to choose a file
Your statement never leaves this device. The file is read by JavaScript running in your own browser and converted to a list of symbols and values. It is never transmitted to Bull Run, never stored on a server, and disappears when you close this tab. Only the numbers you see in the table below are used, and only to build your PDF. If you would still rather not, email the statement to cpassarelli@bullrunim.com or ask for a Black Diamond vault login and we will build it on our end.
Or paste a holdings list
Each position is assigned an asset-class category. Where a holding has no price history for part of the window — it did not exist yet, it no longer trades, or no data is available — that category’s benchmark index carries it through the gap, which is how Morningstar and YCharts handle the same problem. Categories are guessed from the symbol and name; change any that look wrong.

03 · What we propose instead
Recommended allocation?
Pick one of the five risk-profile models, the four-strategy equal split, or build a custom blend. Annualized figures are computed live from the performance database, net of the advisory fee selected in the next step.

04 · What it costs
Advisory fee?
The proposed allocation is always shown net of this fee. Benchmarks and the current portfolio stay gross — the fee is only ever charged against Bull Run, never against the thing Bull Run is measured against.

Accounts and tax?
Split the portfolio across registrations. Asset location puts the fastest-growing sleeves in the most sheltered accounts, and tax drag is applied to the taxable portion only — the same logic the Strategy Backtester uses.
?
Rebalancing is passed through to the Strategy Backtester link, so the two always agree. Share counts means a position that has multiplied since 2008 was a small slice of the portfolio back then — percentages would assume the client always held today's winner at today's weight.
Strategy drag rates are fixed: Innovation 35%, Growth / Core / Low Volatility 15%, Bonds 100% of annual gains realised each year.
Account structure recommendation?
Override the math. Name each account exactly as it will be titled, pick the registration and the single strategy it holds, and set the amount. One strategy per account — add a second row for the same registration if it needs to hold more than one. This replaces the computed page entirely.

What the current portfolio costs today?
Most people already pay something.
Computed from the live holdings, not entered — the Bull Run sleeves are directly-owned stock, so the only fund cost comes from the few ETF and ETN positions and the bond sleeve. It moves with the allocation you picked in step 3.
Expense ratios are already inside the returns on both sides — they come out of fund NAV before the price you see. They are collected here only so the cost comparison is complete, and they never change a computed figure. The advisory fee is the one that can be deducted, and only if you choose "deduct".
Contributions and withdrawals?
Section 07 replays your actual money through history — a starting amount plus a monthly flow. Use a negative number to model withdrawals in retirement.
05 · The deliverable
Generate the proposal?
A vector PDF — real embedded text, hand-drawn charts, the locked Bull Run template. It is searchable, it prints at any size, and it is a fraction of the file size of a screenshot report.
